An excellent range of high quality clays from Stoke. All manufactured to give the user maximum workability and problem free production. Using the latest technology, these clays are manufactured to high standards and within strict industrial tolerances for thermal expansion.

Clay Bodies Range POA

MICB The Potters Connection range of clay bodies have been specially selected for their performance characteristics. All the clays are supplied pre packed in 12.5 Kilo packs. They are ready to use and are supplied at medium hardness. Where possible we have stated the ideal use for the particular Clay Body and also the relevant Temperature range. Sample Packs are available if you wish to try them before ordering.

Clay Body - Red Terracotta £5.66

Quantity:

2200 Red Terracotta A popular general purpose clay.Suitable for for casting throwing and handbuilding. 1080C - 1160C

Clay Body - Terracotta Grogged £6.14

Quantity:

2201 A grogged version of 2200. The addition og the grog improves the strength of this clay for throwing & also gives it increased cracking and warping resistance.

Clay Body - S.T. Material £24.12

2202 S.T. Material A blend of low shrinkage clays And Calcined china clay gives this body excellent pasticity, low shrinkage & a wide firing range. 1200C to 1280C

Clay Body - Toasted Stoneware £6.90

Quantity:

2204 A blend of Etruria Clay and Stoneware Fire Clays with a fine grog additive. A suitable clay for throwing, hand building & casting with a pleasant reduction under normal oxidisation conditions. 1000C - 1250C

Clay Body - College Buff £6.90

Quantity:

2205 College Buff- a good general purpose clay with a wide temperature range.Ideal for throwing, handbuilding and casting. This body is recommended for reduction firing.1000C - 1280C

Clay Body - College Buff Grogged £7.73

2206 College Buff Grogged - the same clay as 2205, but with an addition of a graded mesh, dust free grog.1000C - 1280C

2208 White Earthenware Low Temp - Excellent body for Throwing and Modelling which gives a good green fired strength. This body is also suitable for once firing.

2209 White Earthenware- An off white firing Clay with a wide firing range.Ideally for Casting slip making, slab building and Jigger Jolley machines. 1060C- 1160C

Clay Body - Toasted Speck £7.64

2210 Toasted Speck A blended natural stoneware which gives a speckle effect under normal conditions.Heavier speckling can be acheived under reduction.
1150C to 1280C

2223 This traditional Bone China body is used extensively in Stoke. It gives a brilliant white colour with superb translucency.
